Hypnobirthing teaches practical mindset skills for labour and birth. Through relaxation, self-hypnosis, breathing, and visualisation, you'll develop the knowledge and tools to approach birth with greater calm and confidence, regardless of how your journey unfolds.
This work is centred around helping women feel informed, grounded, and connected to their own inner wisdom. I hold a strong belief that when women feel empowered in birth, it lays the foundation for a gentler, healthier beginning for both mother and baby, one that ripples forward into families, communities, and future generations.
No previous experience with hypnobirthing is required. This series takes place over three consecutive Friday evenings, with one 60 minute session each week. Designed as a gentle, supportive space, each session helps you relax, reconnect, and prepare both mentally and physically for birth.
Each session includes a guided hypnobirthing exercise from the Positive Births Hypnobirthing Programme, sound healing, herbal tea, and oracle cards for reflection and intention setting. With a maximum of 10 women, the group remains intimate and supportive, creating space to connect with others on a similar journey.

My goal is to help you feel informed, confident and empowered as you prepare for birth, whatever your birth preferences, circumstances, or journey may look like.
I believe every woman deserves to feel supported, trust her body, and have the tools to navigate her unique birth journey. Through hypnobirthing, we'll build your confidence and learn practical techniques to support you through pregnancy and labour.
My own mother's experience with a traumatic birth and postpartum depression had a significant impact on my upbringing. It's why I'm passionate about helping women approach birth with less fear, greater trust, and the confidence to make informed decisions.
My hope is that you finish this series feeling more prepared, connected to yourself and ready to step into birth with confidence, whatever your journey may bring!
This series is for expectant mothers who want to feel calmer, more confident and connected as they prepare for birth.
Whether you're new to hypnobirthing or simply looking for a gentle way to prepare your mind and body, these sessions offer practical tools alongside time to rest, reflect and connect with other women on a similar journey.
No previous experience with hypnobirthing is needed, just an openness to learning, slowing down and exploring a more positive approach to birth.
Is hypnobirthing only for unmedicated births?
Not at all! Hypnobirthing offers practical tools to support your mindset, relaxation and comfort, whatever your birth preferences.
How is hypnobirthing different from traditional antenatal classes?
Traditional antenatal classes often cover a broad range of topics, from labour and birth to newborn care. Hypnobirthing focuses more specifically on preparing your mind and body for birth.
Do I need to know how to meditate or visualise?
Not at all! You don't need any previous experience with meditation, visualisation or relaxation techniques. Everything is introduced gently, and you'll have the opportunity to explore what feels most natural for you. There's no right or wrong way to practise. The goal is to find tools that work for you.
When is the best time during pregnancy to attend?
You can join at any stage of pregnancy. These sessions offer an opportunity to begin exploring practical tools for birth, whether you're early in your journey or approaching your due date.
Do I need any previous experience with hypnobirthing?
Not at all! These sessions are suitable for beginners, so there's no need to have any prior knowledge or experience.
What if my birth doesn't go to plan?
Birth doesn't always unfold the way we expect, and that's okay. Hypnobirthing helps you prepare for different possibilities, so you can approach changes with greater confidence and understanding.

"Being able to connect with other women in such an intimate, safe and supportive space at Kenkō has been really special. I loved the varied and building hypnobirthing techniques, the conversations, pulling oracle cards, the deep relaxation, sound baths and just having somewhere to completely switch off and connect with myself and my baby." — Kirsty

"Jess is light, fun and completely herself, but she still creates this beautiful space to go deeper when you need to, with absolutely zero judgement, and can bring strangers together in such an easeful way. The group sessions became such a lovely way to spend my evenings. I’m actually really sad they’re over because I feel like I was only just getting into it!" — Kirsty

"I honestly don’t think I have enough words to explain how amazing Jess has been throughout this whole journey. She has been a real pillar of support during a time when I’ve felt excited, overwhelmed, nervous and emotional all at once. Jess has helped me focus not just on preparing for my baby, but on preparing myself too. She has such a beautiful energy and creates such a safe, warm and genuinely lovely space for people to just be." — Kirsty
